  4. Here is a little project i have been working on... My truck plays well inside but here on the base the Jamaicans like to use their system as an impromptu DJ booth... As in they will put a set of book shelf speakers on top of their ride, and this is my answer to it... Takes about 5 mins to setup/tear down, and nothing inside the truck is affected... If someone is getting a true demo I can kill the outside audio as well... Thanks for looking...
  5. Have never done a build log always just built and enjoyed, this build is going to have some great challenges so thought it would be the perfect time to start a build log. Will be taking lots of pictures will start with the set up I had up until last week. The set up was only in the vehicle for 4 months, it sounded great got fairly loud but as all true bassheads I wanted,,, no needed more. The journey for me started when I was young before I had a car I had a system, and well that fire never died. This will give me a great output to share my ideas and visions with others. Here is a couple pics of my c-pillar wall before tear down. The system consists of 4 northstar 110ft 1 d5100R xs power 1 d3100 xs power 6 Maxwell ultracaps 2.5 2600 farad 2/0 copper wire in rear attaching all battery bank 1/0 runs from front 2 Singer 250+ alternator DDM4 Rockford Fosgate R300.4 4 sets Jl C series 6.5 Audio Control LCi2 2 AQ HDC3 18's Using Stock head unit due to fact everything runs through it. Best meter up to this point was 151.5 Legal at DBDrag show. It ran flat from 33-49 hz tuned at 38 with its peak at 47. This was with no deadener other than factory.
  6. Alright.. So about a month ago I decided it was time to buy a newer, more reliable vehicle. I'm not a fan of having to repair my car, and with my job I just can't be without reliable transportation. It was time to upgrade. I found a great deal on a 2012 Chevy Tahoe LT with 17,000 miles and decided she was the one. I really loved the fact that the bowties were already blacked out and that it had an after market grill already. Next up, it was time to head to Sound of Tri-State and have a Viper 5902 installed with a few extra attachments added. The thing I told myself going into this was I want to do it all right the first time. No half assing shit on this build. Next on the list was to meet up with my good friend Jay Henderson and get my Hoe some new shoes and add a Magnaflow dual exhaust. So I made the trip to Nowhere, VA....just kidding Jay, South Boston, VA. I got there Sunday and we, I mean he, got to work on it. We had to make a lil room up front so I could turn fully without rubbing, so Jay got to cutting. Jay told me he was really attracted to my Hoe and felt "sparks" between them. I didn't get it at first, but then it made sense. So we got the 28's mounted and ready to roll. Then we began the work on getting the exhaust installed (yes I lended a hand here). Jay is just about done welding her all up. And after about 5 hours of work on a Sunday afternoon, we pulled her out of his shop and she sat like this.... Now, for the rest of the audio build it is going to take some time to get it where it needs to be, but I know exactly what direction I'm headed in. Next week coming up I will have the tint done and the Pioneer AVH 8400BH installed in it. I'm not going to be talking about the build until the pieces of it come in, but I promise that this build will be well worth following.
