I ran a stock alt with 5 batteries on 6k with my last system... Never dropped below 12.0 volts. Burps id hit like 11.5 but i still wasn't stupid worried. I just don't know about spending that much on a damn alt. 12 volts is kinda low in the car audio world. Try to shoot up around 13+. A good alt will get you there and keep you there. Doesn't have to be a 200+ amp alt either. Like Kyle said, a 180a alt will provide enough power, especially at idle. Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . Just batts.
