Got in the van, pulled on the shoulder belt and the spring...well un-sprung and fell onto the floor, doesnt look bent, no idea if i should try to fix it or just get an entire new belt? new belt is close to $60, or i could just install a racing belt 6-point for around $100 any ideas?

havent taken the cover off to see if there was any damage/rusted inside yet since its dark out, but it used to lock up on me quite a bit.

Sold the van in 2014, had it about 75% done, never did get the system in it. Bought a 2000 Chevy S10, still using the same amp/subs. Headunit is XO Vision X538. It's 52x4w, has a dvd player, auto flip out 7" touch screen plus alot more and is a single din.

junkyard?

thats what i was just thinking lol, might be a bit hard to find 1 in good enough shape though 84 chevy G30 unless alot of diff vans had similar belts, didnt really wanna try to fix it myself cause of safety

Edit- doesnt look too hard to put one on, maybe 3-4 bolts+ 2 on the lap belt

Seatbelts aren't hard to put in. I put the ones in my vette and it was easy. I am pretty sure they are alot of the similarities in seatbelts. I'm pretty sure.

most are the same. just make sure the latch parts are the same size.

thatd be cool if i could snag 1 from a 2006 etc van thatd fit, might only be half cost from the junkyard also, calling them in the morning thanks.

lol, why not frankenstein the van up more than it already is with my buick radio and dodge seats, maybe ill look for a Toyota this time "if it fits"

Oh, since im in this section anyways... ive been thinking about painting my rims, is there any way i could un-rust the hell out of them without having to take the tire off the rim, or is that just hoping?
