I purchased a used RCA 2870-A Home Theatre Receiver today from a local pawn shop for $60. Just the receiver, no speakers or remote. All the inputs and outputs work fine, besides the subwoofer(s). (Has a wire & RCA jack for sub). The only sub adjustment control it has is one button that cycles soft-powerful. There isn't no EQ or anything. I tried switching surround sound modes (Stereo-Dolby) but didn't get any sub response. When I pulg the sub into the speakers outputs it works fine so I know its not the subwoofer itself. Atm, I plan on returning it. But I won't be able to until next Sat due to work hours and their not open on Sundays. Hopefully get this sorted before then.
