Finally decided to join to help further my knowledge of car audio as I believe that's going to be one of my major projects with the car. The car being..: Before: After/Current: Rough mod list - could be missing stuff.. - Eyelids - AE Grill - Yellow Nokya Fogs - Yellow Fog Overlays [Just encase ya know?] - Lighted Door Sills - Red Interior Bulb Replacement - LED Side Markers - Underdash Lights - 18' MSR Wheels - 2 10' Apline Type E's - Apline Deck - Tein S Tech Lowering Springs - Yellow Tinted Headlights - Tow Hook - 3000k HIDs low beam - Black Mica Spoiler - Blacked out Emblems - COMING NEXT: - Rally Armor - AutoExe Front bumper Audio was my first addition to the car and best decision i made! Music is so much more enjoyable now. For a while now I've been playing around with the idea of a new sound system. Current one leaves much to be desired. I have very limited knowledge in this field but I have an alpine deck, can never remember the name/stats of my amp, and 2 10 in alpine type e's. Its good, but I'm wanting more now and I believe the amp isn't powering the subs enough for when I turn it up loud enough. What I'm looking for is pretty loud, pretty clean, but I want a good balance between bass and the speakers. I was THINKING (remember I'm naive in this area, let me know if im way of course) adding two additional 12s, amp(s) required, and replacing speakers (ones blown anyway). So, if members here could give me recommendations on what to do, what to get, and anything in between. Also hoping to save money but attempting to learn how to install it myself. Will also update this as I do more stuff to the car. Quote

And i think it looks awesome! how do u do that? jw Thanks! They're all locals from my hometown who are members of Toronto Mazda 3, were not from Toronto so were a relatively small group. Counting all of us were huge haha: The tint was pretty easy, just a square piece of yellow tinted film, spray the headlights with water, spray back of the tint, place it on, hair dryer and library card to get out the bubbles and wrinkles, use the heat to shape the film around the headlights, then cut off the access when its all good. If you have Ben around the forums you've seen people getting h/o Alts and upgraded battieries and such... For subs that are a defer price and you can get good outPut look at the sundown sa series. Can take more than rated, and if you ask anyone that has owned them there a pretty damn good sub. For amps, I would look at somewhere around 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm. And thanks for the start. I have a contact that works at pioneer as well so hopping to get ideas from him too! Quote

Thanks! haha glad everyone loves the yellow, but to be honest I dont know how much longer I'll have the tint for; the HIDs are in question as well. Its cool and all but I might end up taking the headlights in another direction, as well I'm growing tired of feeling awkward passing cops on the road. It gets a lot of attention but I dont want the wrong attention lol. Though it hasn't given me issues.. yet.. Quote
