ehuber87 Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 response time and woofer size dont correlate. whatever you've heard about that is 100% wrong. its one of the biggest misconceptions about audio. if its not as "responsive" as you'd like it to be, thats 99% the box's fault. prefabs are notorious (b.i.g) about this. 99% of them are shit and are built cheap as fuck and are tuned high as hell (think 40+hz) and make the woofers sound muddy, which is why some ignorant people prefer sealed enclosures. once you build a box that is designed TO SPEC to the woofer (there is no universal box), then you should get the most performance out of it. whats the difference between 2 8's and 2 12's? 2 8's will be quieter. That being said, what would you recommend for punchy bass (woofer + enclosure) thats capable of hitting lows... if possible Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
