Ok, well after I had already installed my last system did I come across this site, so now that its time to upgrade alittle I wanted to post up a log of my progress..

Well its a budget build, less than 1k usd.

I'm not done with the install yet, been pretty cruddy weather here in PA. And to top it off the wife just had to have a surgery so didn't have alot of time.

All the new gear I got from AudioSavings!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The old system was:

Pioneer DEH-6100bt

2 sets of RF T1652-s

Hifonics HFI 100.4 mids

Nitro 1000 watt max for the old sub's

2 Kicker C124

Prefab Absolute box

Stinger Distribution Block T-Block.

RF 4ga power/ground& RCA's RFK4I

Jensen Power 400 watt 2 channel, ran the tweets off of it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New stuff going in:

Same deck.

Kicker DS693 6x9 3-Way-Rear

Kicker DS65 6.5" 2-Way Speakers-Front

KS25 1" Pair of Tweet's with xovers

Cadence 14 Gauge 125 Foot of speaker wire

2 RE AUDIO SEX12D4

HIFONICS BRZ1200.1D-Sub amp

RE Audio XT800.4 V3 4 Channel 800 watt- Mid/high's

Prefab Atrend sub box.

Hushmat Trunk kit.

Same RF wire, Rca's, and Distribution block.

Coming soon, Big 3, Another battery, looking into an XS Power.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out with the old, 2 pairs of RF T1652-S Sold off the Kicker subs 2x 12's on CL. No pics of taking the rear set out. Old mem card from my cam died so I lost a few pics unfortunatly.

No pic of my old sub amp, was a POS nitro 1k watt max that was a craigslist special lol.

I lost alot of photo's of the new sub's before I put them in the new box, the sanding of the trunk since it had rusted from water leaking in thru the tail lights. Sprayed in LeakSeal or was it LeakStop from homedepot, and afew cans of Spray foam, Doing the hushmat install and more. Oh well shit happens.

i really recommend you do the big 3 in 0 gauge. build looks pretty nice for the price. i honestly would have not swapped the rf's out for the kickers though

Well I did the big 3 in 4ga when I did the last system, I will be doing the big 3 in 0 soon, just saving alittle more up for that, Just went and got a new alarm today so the xtra funds are dry lol, As for the RF's they are nice but I did have some problems with them, clearance issues in the front door's and 2 of the 4 tweets died within the first 2 months, and since SonicElectronix isnt an authorized dealer replacing them out of pocket was a hassle.
