Jessica
That's a fomoco alternator, is yours the type with only the 3 wire plug and no main power cable going to the battery? If that's the case go to the auto parts store and get a new plug and replace yours. There are pretty cheap and the stock ones are "one use only" meaning if you ever unplug it ford recommends you replace it. Jessica
Even if it has a main wire from alt to battery i would replace that plug, they are notorious about bad connections cause they get hot. Jessica
Well, the alt is probably dead then, but you said you bought a new one, but how long ago? Only other thing i could think is the main charge cable isn't connected tight at the alt. I looked up your alt and it appears to actually have a cable from alt to battery, unlike some ford alts. Jessica
See the white plug? on your car is a cable with a plug that goes in there, you need to replace the plug on the car side. Ba55h3ad651
Oohh the bottom piece I was thinking it could be that but I really can't reach but how would I replace it doesn't it go right into the computer of the car
Jessica
Well, i'm just saying that might be your problem, if the alt isn't being told to charge because of a bad connection then you need a new plug. You still didn't say how long ago you bought it. Quote Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work.
