I will also unplug the alt and see how that goes. If it runs good then I know what the problem is. Great advice Kranny. I will put the battery on the charger/maintainer tomorrow, it's too late right now and I've got work in the morning. IF you decide to run a mechman pay the 75 bucks extra for the adjustable voltage version lol i didnt get it on my first H/O alt (irraggi) and i i hated it. now i have my mech man and i amp alot happier. stable voltage I am looking at a singer 200A alt to buy and I was told that it has a voltage regulator built into the alt.
