tmac93 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 stupid question but i think i may have my sub wired wrong, after building the box i was such in a hurry to get it in, i had my brother wire the sub while i ran rca's and such. first off my amp is the hifonics brz2100.D its a 1 channel amp but of course it has 4 spots for wires, 2(-) and 2(+) however he didnt wire like i normally do and i didnt notice it till after i started to hook it to the amp when there was 2 sets of wire coming out of the box. the sub is a dual 2 ohm and he ran wire (+) and (-) from one side of the sub out the box and then (+) and (-) from the other side of the sub out the box. he says its at 1ohm but ive never seen or do this before and ive been thinking twice about it. EXCUSE MY HORRIBLE USE OF PAINT LMAO but this is what it looks like [/img]
Guest Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 the wiring is fine. this is an example as to why many monoblocks have 2 sets of speaker terminals.
