SonicHD Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 The magnet boot is only going to reduce the mounting depth by a half inch or so. We would pull it off ourselves but that would void the warranty of the woofer. I gave RE a call and they explained that the new SEXv2 woofers do not have any sort of boot, and they will in fact clear 12.5 inches.
