How many decibals to be heard a mile away?

I figured about 64 decibels, but thats assuming no background noises and no attenuation due to humidity or air density. The real number is obviously much higher since the 64dB is assuming ideal conditions. So I'm gonna say between 64.1dB and infinity depending on where you're at :P I could be wrong...

just looked up average levels of ambient sound and it looked like ~40-50dB so your 110 is probably a good number for ideal conditions. Real world there is no good way to tell...depends on too many variables
