Marshey
Started the day off with a bit of braiding. 2 runs of 8awg speaker cable per door. 4 channel and 2 channel rca braided ready to go. This has remotes for all 3 amps and a wire for my voltmeter which will read voltage from the big amp. If i thought about it i could of ran a remote cable with the rca themselves. Didnt take many pictures of this part as it was awkward i had to take my door off and run speaker cable through. It wasnt that easy on my own as i had to hold door and run cable. Anyway i didnt check it properly and cable got caught in door hinge. Couldnt really leave it like that so pulled it all back out cut it on the slice and rebraid. Cable tie and securing them to the floor. Didnt get as much as i wanted to and with it getting dark so early its hard to get anything done. Tomorrows plan is other side speaker cable and cable tie and fix down all 0awg. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
Marshey
Started on the buss bars today im using 3" wide 1/2" thick aluminium bar. Small bit is for in the engine bay to connect cables from alternator to powers that go to back of the car. 1m length for positive across batterys and 80cm negative across batteries. Only got these cut today as i have to get some new drill bits and tap some m6 thread to connect cables and to batteries. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/

Marshey
Thought id try doing the buss bars today as my very cheap ebay tap and die set had arrived. Never used one before so didnt know what i was even doing or how it goes together. Put it together like that dont know if its right but it worked. As i was using a hand drill and not a bench one it was hard to keep holes dead straight. Tried on the small bit for the front engine bay first incase i messed it up. 4 done and they all seem to bolt in alright. Started making holes to bolt onto batterys, i wasnt tapping these ones so made them slightly bigger. The second one wasnt as easy as 2 holes lined up but on 3rd battery one didnt my measurment was a few mm off. I corrected it by making the holes all bigger so the bolt can stretch to the right place on the battery. It fits but as a result theres a gap round the bolts now. Nothing a big washer wont hide. Tomorrows job is to make all the holes and tap them for the cables to connect. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
Marshey
I thought i would carry on drilling and tapping more holes in buss bars for all the cables to connect when i noticed this on the first hole. I guess you get what you pay for as it was a cheap set. Anyway tomorrows plan if it works out any better is to get new tap finish holes cut power cables to length and get back panel glued in. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
Marshey
Time to have another go at tapping the holes but this time with a good quality tap and some cutting lube. This was so effortless compared to the cheap one i was using Just need to cut the runs of 0awg from front to back to length and terminate them but called it a day its freezing and getting dark already. Im slowly getting there just not at the speed i want to. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
Marshey
Day off work so planned to get alot done today but it never turns out that way. Started off with these 0awg down to 4awg terminals to go into my 4 channel amps. Had to grind the edge off the ends so it was thinner and slotted in further. They go in all the way now but terminals so close they touching. Grinded a flat spot on one side of them to stop them touching. There close but dont touch and i will cover them just to be sure. 2004 Renault Megane Pioneer AVH-4400BT 5 XS Power D3100 2 Renault 210a Alternator 1 Hertz 15k Spl Monster 2 RF T600-4 16 RF T162s 6.5" Mids 16 RF T1T 1.1" Tweeters 4 FI SP4 18" D2 subs Peak: 155.0 @ 31hz 40hz: 154.4 33hz: 154.6 25hz: 154.0 20hz: 152.5 Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/178428-renault-megane-4-fi-sp4-18s-walled-12k-457-pics-termlab-scores/
