Team Sundown's Charles
Am. staff is a AKC reg pit. Back in the day before dog fight was outlawed the UKC the dogfighting Reg. The Akc didn't want any part of dog fighting so they chanced the name to Am.Staff. The Staff then became show dogs and the pit stay in the fighting ring. The Ukc stop dealing with the dog fighting side in 1976 when they foundly made it illegal. The dog fighter start the Adba short after that. But now adays no one keep track of the dog fighting Champions or Gr.Champion now. Becuase they can be lock up for promoting dog fighting. There are still under ground reg. that still track Champions and shows . But you have to know someone who has been a member for 5 yrs just to reg with them. The ADBA & UKC are really slow with paper work so make sure if you buy online the seller has paper work in hand. Never buy a pup and let them send your paper later. You going to get taken for a ride. And a Dna is a good idea. Some people will sell you some great paper and the pup you get is something form the pound. You are in LA I would try Whiteoak Bitter Kennels. She is a great lady to deal with. Her prices are Alittle high but she sell great dogs. Whiteoakbiterkennels And for those that are looking at the Link the guy at the top of the page is Foyld Boudreaux himself. BURRITO
What is the difference between a pit bull and an American Staffordshire Terrier?? AmStaff's are pure bread dogs that can be registered with the AKC... American Pitbull Terriers are different Bully breeds that are bread with other dogs to make "Pitbulls"... the AKC does not recognise them as being pure bread K9's. dont forget to check out the Bully Dog thread on this forum...
