Jordan Thurston
Did you figure anything out to deaden the rear bumper? I ended up putting expanding foam behind which helped a little but still rattled but now that the subs are facing forward the only thing that rattles is the trunk lid which should stop after I seal the subs off from the trunk
Jordan Thurston
I got my lugs today so I ran my new power wire and put my new fuse block in mounted it to my cars fuse box cover And here's a pic of my trunk still gotta zip tie some wires up and maybe build some type of box for the battery amp has rubber spacers between it and the box to help with the vibration if there is any. Next project is to start with sealing off the box I've been being lazy and haven't started yet still trying to figure out exactly how I'm gunna do it and make it look decent to
Jordan Thurston
I cut a peice of cardboard to fit beside the box thinking maybe making it out of mdf and doing it on both sides then do a board on the top of the box and foam around it basically making the box bigger so it seals
Jordan Thurston
Started sealing the trunk off from the cabin using expanding foam and some masking tape then I'm going to trim the foam up and make some beauty panels and carpet them to match the car and put them over the foam. Jordan Thurston
May have an issue with one of the subs it's not moving quite as much as the other one and it's made a weird noise twice now both times on a low note almost like it hit the mechanical limit or something. Coil looks fine nothing out of the ordinary not sure what's going on but on a side note I got my new 10 gauge speaker wire from knu for the subs and my terminals

Jordan Thurston
Ok so I finally started making my fiberglass trim peices to cover up the expanding foam first I trimmed the foam down as best as I could Then I taped it all off and started laying down the fiberglass kinda turned out looking crappy think I put to much resin and not enough of the glass Mat but it is my first time using fiberglass I think they will look ok after I trim them up and add some bondo to them then I'll sand them down and probably wrap them with vinyl or maybe carpet them to match the interior
Jordan Thurston
Finished with the fiberglass part added some bondo and did some trimming and sanding one side is fitting pretty good gunna do some more sanding and probably wrap them with carpet to match the car or paint to match the box not sure yet but here's some pics of the trim peices the one I haven't sanded yet so it looks pretty rough and I added to much hardener to the bondo so it hardened to fast on me.
