lance_aka_64 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 im not totally sure about this one. i have heard to only use slot ports if you don't have the room for round ones. i think its just personal preference. aeros have less surface area, thus air can move in-out more easily. some ppl gain from them and some don't. i guess the only way to find out is to do a rebuild. all you can do is test, test, and test again until you find out what works best in your situation. and just to make it clear im no pro, far from it. hopefully someone else can chime in on this and possibly give you a better answer than i can. lance_aka_64 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Share Posted April 12, 2008 also i have made many boxes with slot ports (every time using re's box calc) and also made my own design with 2 4" normal pvc tubes for ports and by far it is the best box i have ever made. it was my first ported box too.
