Gareth Edmeades
Think I've managed to find a jack to rca that might work so will try it tomorrow
Gareth Edmeades
I decided to go out and try running my phone to the amp and from the quick test before my phone died I didn't get the noise through the sub but will try again tomorrow to to be on the safe side. I also tried my system both on ignition and while car was running and found the noise to be worse when the car is running. So plan of action tomorrow (it's 21:26 here in uk) is to run phone or iPod to the amp and also to pull out the RCAs from centre console and see if that makes a difference if it does then I'll run it under the carpet under the passenger seat. Gareth Edmeades
So had a look at the car and checked the RCA connections inside the amp and they had cracks so sorted that but amp still makes the noise. What I'm thinking is everything else is new so looking at a 4ch amp to power the sub and power the front speakers when I get them, I will also buy some better RCAs just to make sure. Gareth Edmeades
Hi guys just thought I'd give an update. The inputs on my 2001 Rockford Fosgate power 250.1 is what was causing the problem so I've decided to upgrade to some new gear so I went a bought a Rockford Prime 300x4 and that will power my front speakers and my sub on my cheap daily build. I've also got some Rockford RCAs to replace the cheap set I had just need to install it now.
