With 1 8" sub off 500w it was a little over 12dB for us _b

That's quite a lot louder :)

Your mileage may vary...

4" long, are you sure about that tuning?

I would go 2 4" pipes at the least. You need a bit more port area for a 15" sub. Just make them as long as you can (leave like 4-5" at the back for the ports to 'breathe' and I'm sure you'll be happy with it. You can always pull them out and cut them shorter, just think about it carefully when you put them in ;)

Ya I`m pretty sure using his dimensions he gave on first page based on 3/4" mdf its 4.22 cu ft minus port and sub displacement, so 1 4" pipe 4" long tunes to 35hz based on 3.9 cu. ft net

So if you want 2 4" ports make them 11.25" long at it will tune to 35hz

Get porting :good:

Hope this helps

No Prob man, and if you dont mind spending a little bit of money on ports, you will gain a bit using flared round ports, you cna get from www.psp-inc.com

Hope this helps

Garett

i have like 4 of them flared ports out of a audiobaun box but not sure if there big enough might only be 3"

If you measure the exact inside Dimension of the pipe part (not the flared end) I can calculate for there size for them if you want.

Let me know there inside diameter and length

I wouldn`t bother with the 3" ones, as to tune low for daily you could only use 2 which is only 14 sq. in. of port which is equivent to roughly 1 4" port.

Grab 2 pieces of 4" pvc pipe and make them 11.25" and enjoy your new found SPL

kool thanks man.. :good:
