what is the deal i was told i need to have a fuse right next to my amp ?

when my fuse is at the front on the battery ?

You need to have a fuse within 18" of the amp and with that amp you should able to go in as1....just get a fuse holder and roll the volume......also Amateur cars have to be off.And only 1 battery in the stock location..

Also you will need a 40 amp fuse for AS1

The front fuse does not matter. get a fuse holder and put it within 18" of the amp..you can use a 40 amp fuse holder.........and when you go up to the mic when your ready roll the volume don't just unpause it.

so i can use what ever i want up front, as for fuse size.

and in the back i need to fuse it, why would i use a 40.?

having the fuse close to my amp change the possability of blowing different rated fuse as i would up front?

because ill pop 60s up front all day..

Yes you can use what ever you want up front.and the 40 amp would put you in AS1 a 10" sub will give you 76.66 SQ IN of cone area and you multipy the fusin by 10 which will give you 476.66 total and you need to be under 500 for AS1..Just find a Commercial CD with no curse words that plays where your tuned at on the sub box..

O... see now im getting it,

however, a 40 will put me at 476.66, in A-S-1, and ill pop that fast

now as-2, allows 2 fuses,

what does that allow me to do from there, somehow i need atleast to use 100, or somewhere close

is there some trick i can do to use the max about of fuses and not go over 1000, because a 100 amp fuse will put me at 1076.66, how can i go lower?

You can use a 80 amp fuse in as2.....and you should be able to do that...I and 2500 watts off 80 amps and held it for 30 seconds in drive by..

But based on what you told me a 80 amp will give me a total of 1276, max for as-2 is 1000

so i can use 2 fuses and need to stay under 1000.

Find the point at which you DON'T pop the fuse and don't play higher than that. ;)

You can use the 40A if you know where to set your volume.
