Btl 18s, I Love These Things

So, I did a wall for 2 BTL 18s in my 2001 Impala. I've used a pair of Q 18s before, but they just weren't loud enough for me. I must say I did not expect the BTLs to sound this good. This setup replaced a wall of 4 RE SX 15s. Both walls were/are powered with a Memphis 4kw. Of the walls I've had, I've never been able to get one to sound good with rock/metal. This is no different with the BTLs. Might be how I have things crossed over, settings, etc... Rap sounds absolutely phenomenal. :hairtrick: I definitely need one or two more component sets.

The wall is 14 cubes, tuned to 35hz, 192" of port. I really wanted to tune lower, but these still handle the lows like nobodies business. I'd say between the 4 SXs and the 2 BTLs, it's very close. The BTLs sound a lot better though and for the most part are a touch louder. No TL meters around here, so no official testing or numbers yet.

I'm wondering how much louder they would get with 3kw on each sub. :hairtrick:

Just wanna say thanks to Fi for making an incredible sub. I think it's gonna be awhile before I get louder then this.

I have the same amp & fully loaded BTL'z, i think the power is not enough for them i need another Mojo amp but they still slam

Mine will barely get warm when I'm slamming on them for twenty or thirty minutes. I get nervous because I was born without a sense of smell, so if I'm cooking coils, I won't notice until it's too late. :mad:

I'd be nervous giving them 4kw each with how hard I am on my equipment. I'd love to see the full potential of these subs though.
