The p3s are really punchy and accurate subs. Also very good sq wise. Can take more than the rated power if it is clean. Does pretty good on low notes and packs a punch for the price. For under a $100 it's a good deal.

Thanks, bro. The only P3 I have ever heard in my life is our display model, but i can't get a feel for how it sounds, because it is in a shitty pre-fab, DIY box that is held together with huge zip-ties. That is the box the Type R is in too....damn Best Buy...no wonder we can never sell anything other than GPS'.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

ive seen setups with both...type r's at 1200rms and the p3's at 1000rms

both subs handle the power well and sound great. personally i'd choose the type r's over the p3's because i like the way they sound more so than the p3's. but both sound like a good deal to me.
