i gotta design a sketch of my home for my hvac class n ive got it pritty much designed but how do i insert text? i kno how to use paint on xp but the one on my comp with vista is a lil diff

or should i say the hell with paint n go with google sketchup?

On Paint? Theres a capital "A" on the toolbox to the left. Click it, then click and drag to make a text box on the Canvas/Drawing area. Then start typing.

i kno its wierd but it wont click, i unno wtf wrong with it, i tryed to make a box n then put text into it n cant seem to do that, instead of typeing out vents i'll just design some

In Vista's paint, you have to be zoomed to a certain level. Only 1 level with work. Move the zoom till the A becomes black and not grey and tha's it.

I believe it's like 40% where it works at. But if it works, good luck with the sketch.

Also, if you like paint but want to do more with it there is a free paint.net you can google.. (not trying to advertise, just trying to help a homie) which gives you more options than MS Paint.
