mtxcivic07
Meade, I have seen nearly all of your videos, pictures, and installs that you have on your site and also some other material you have posted on realm of excursion, and i am amazed at some of the crazy work you do. I love your Escalade.. that thing is insane.. and the work you have done on your tahoe is immaculate. I noticed on your forum that you had pictures on how you designed the box for your friend's MTX 9500 15's.. and i was interested b/c i am getting some MTX 15's and i want to make a box exactly like that. I liked how you used all the angles in your wood and also how well everything fit together... I color coded a picture of your pic to make this a little easier to understand b/c i dont know the box lingo quite yet..lol.. but here goes.. I need to know the port width, port length, how far away the red section will be from the back wall and also how long that green piece should be... I'm wanting to put this into a 96 civic coupe.. the max measurements including the 3/4" MDF are 15" tall, 38" wide, and 20" deep. I figure this will give me about 5.5 cubic ft. or so.. btw.. the subs will be facing up as they will be mounted on top of the box.. I really hope you will help me as you are a pro at these types of things and i dont know who else to turn to.. thanks in advance, Nick Quote 18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #... AP Zoutes
so your internal is 5.91ft3. What is the displacement of your subs?
SPLGEO
Mtx recomends 2.25cubic feet per woofer so if you have 5.5 to play with build the box to it and figure out what you want it to be tuned to. then go to http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 to figure out everything else Quote 1995 Geo Prism .
