I can give you my expierence with Kenwood. I have a thread on here with my build log titled 2008 ford fusion(the pictures with the stocks, kenwoods, rockfords next to each other tell a big story). I originally purchased a set of excelon 5x7 for replacements, within a week i sent them back for a set of rockford fosgate 6.5's. The difference is night and day. The kenwoods had good high range sounds, but that was it. There is little midbass and the midbass they did have was really sloppy. The fosgates have great midbass and sound really clean. I would also suggest getting a pack of damplier.

Hope that helps.
