How do you calculate the port area of areo port and how much port area needed per cu. ft. using areo ports?

1993 Mazda Mx-3

Subs: 2 18" DC Audio Lvl 4 D.7

Highs amp: Sundown SAX-100.4

Sub amp: Sundown SAZ-3000D

Electrical:Kinetik 1200 under hood, 2-Kinetik 2400 rear

All 1/0 KnuKonceptz Wire Power/Ground, Big 3, 8Ga Speaker Wire, KnuKonceptz Karma RCA's

Dampening: 120sqft 80Mil Thick Sound Destroyer Mat

Goal: 150 DB 149.9 Street Bass

As a general rule of thumb about 8-12inches of port per cubic foot is what you would want. To calculate the port are just muliply the width of the port I.E. a 4 inch Port x Pi(3.14) and you will get your port area, though if you have a flare on the end of the port it will be a bit more.

its not port x pi i think you forgot radius is squared

radius square x pi example 4'' aero radius is 2 so 2 x 2=4 4x3.14=12.56

6''port has 3'' radius so 3x3=9 9x3.14=28.26
