I'm just getting into car audio and i need some help.

I got an alpine type r 122d sub and a kac 7201 amplifier and need help with the wiring and ohm load?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i already have the amp hooked up and had it powering a rockford 12 but that blew and i decided to upgrade and i wanna be sure it gets wired right and not break it lol

You probably had your gains set too high on the amp.

Do you still have the ground/power wires in your car or are you starting from scratch?

460 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

230 watts x 2 at 2 ohms

RMS power handling: 300 watts

I'd do, bridged at 4 ohm, buttttt thats me.

wire each coil to each channel. nuff said. only 300rms so dont crank the gains and expect it to be loud

Bridge the amp to a 4 ohm mono load and then wire the sub like this.
