ryanFA5 Posted May 1, 2010 Report Share Posted May 1, 2010 Hey everyone. I installed my headunit last night and it worked just fine. But it was getting rly hot on the back. After a while, my cars battery drained 2ce. Then we jumped it to get it running. Then a while after, it went into protect mode on the hu. I hve no clue whats goin on. Help me!!!!! vr6bass Posted May 1, 2010 Report Share Posted May 1, 2010 its probably not seeing how your battery died, unless the battery is no good. has this happened before? what kinda amp? do you have the remote hooked up to a switched 12volt? use a volt meter to test the wires with the car off and see if anything is pulling juice when it shouldnt be. ryanFA5 Posted May 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted May 1, 2010 Well i had the factory amp in my car. So all i did was bypass it. Then we just cut all the wires from the old factory amp and reran them to the headunit. Theres a bunch of extra wires and we're not sure what they all belong to...
