idk why it has to be a 15 but there you go. 2.66cuft at 34hz is what RF recommends (dont buy a prefab box from ebay or best buy or w/e, they're shit. build your own with help from other members on here if you dont know how)

it does not have to be a 15 i just thought the 15 would be nicer then 2 12s or 2 10s and i thought the one 15 would be louder im very open to ideas cuz im clueless

Or spend $30.00 more and get a P3. Wire it up to 4-ohms and call it a day. I agree with Kranny though on the box part. You have more than enough information here on this site to help you out. Especially with you preaching about budget, it'll be more cost effective as well to build your own.

2 12's have more cone area than a single 15, yet a single 15 has more cone area than 2 10's.

Actually.... Reading your signature, are you running a jbl AND a pioneer sub? Read up the site a bit. In the meantime save up some more cash. Mow some lawns or something. Once you have a better understanding as to what is going on, you'll be able to probably make a better purchase. As stated before, there is PLENTY to learn here. Just take some time and learn. :)

x2 all of this STRONGLY.

on the topic of the mixed subs, you never want to mix woofers of different brands, models, sizes, or even the same brand and model but a different generation woofer. when one woofer moves more than the other, they fight and try to equalize, causing the sound to be what they call "muddy" and doesnt sound right at all.
