Anyway I won my class (only guy in it lol). It was alot of fun and a great experience. Just thought id post this to show any other new guys that you dont need an insane score to have fun and you dont have to have a big system to compete. Also just fyi im running 1 12" mayhem in the trunk on 225ish watts, and that score was from the kick. Quote

Yea it was alot of fun, i was the first run so i was kinda bummed with that low a score but then i started seein guys who have sunk 1-3grand into subs and amps werent even getting out of the 130's lol so i cheered up lol. Also after talking to alot of the more experienced guys i think the meter was off a bit, i think if i get on a better tl with the meter on the window and i seal the trunk i might could pull off a 136-8...maybe lol. Btw funniest moment of the competition was this guy who had an old crx with 4 12"mojos, he pulled up and i was expecting a 140 or something like that so i was standing dead center in front of the car with someone when he kicked it on, felt like id took a punch to the face lol, he wound up doing a 158 so yea...he was a little loud lol Quote
Guest grim83 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 A 133.4 from one 12 on 225 watts is nothing to be ashamed of! not to ashamed just disappointed i got screwed up because i had to run a test tone cd and i never beat with cds so i had no clue what tuning to use on my headunit or what volume to use. plus i couldve done better if i had gone sealed i think but the judge said i should keep the door a little open on the drivers side when the globe was in the passenger kick and he did my second run before i realized it lol. all in all i didnt really care just wanted a number to say lol Quote

USACI and i was in the trunk 1000watt and under class. Yea lil bastard got it on the tones, the owner of the car was cool as hell, hed been at this for like 23yrs and was willing to offer suggestions and tell stories lol, he told me about winning a competition where this dude kept talkin about him so he tore out the whole build and did like 10 cheap ass boss subs and still waxed the guy lol Quote
