Jmluvbass
1 of the local audio shops had a mtx 8500 15" laying around I asked about it turns out the coil was burnt so they let me have it, what kind of recone would work on it? I want to beef it up.

MACnonsence6
why would u like to use that specifically? why not upgrade to a better basket, and use better soft parts. measure gap and pole specs then start looking for a coil and design everything around that to fit ur needs I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

Phaeton
PSI will recone your sub if you send it to them. FI might, im not 100% sure. I would email them as ask.
