  1. I've talked with a good friend of mine back home who has done Vegas competition builds and...... We are going to wall the impala. Coming soon starting next month, walled 2007 chevy impala.
  2. Thanks man. Looks like I'll stick with the 1500.1. I'll order some more 1/0 gauge wire to do the big three upgrade and I'll look into the rear battery as well. What model battery would you suggest for this application?
  3. I love you guys! Haha. No homo. Any chance you can screen shot that for me? I can send you my email in a PM.
  4. Trying to figure out the Kicker setup.

  5. From what I could find online the trunk has 18.6 cubes of space. I would go out and measure but I'm moving out of my dorm right now and have no tape. Is there an easy to use program that shows the box design? Having a hard time using these programs.
  6. I could probably build a box if I put some thought into it. My biggest issue is what size and how to make the port.
  7. I've got a mega big trunk. I would like to build a box and my dad has a big workshop but I feel like I would mess things up. I could go with the ZX1500.1 no problems.
  8. So I work at Best Buy and some people might know we get decent deals from Kicker. That being said, my system is going to be Kicker. Haha. I had a Kenwood one last year but sold it for college. Here's what I had in mind: 11DS12L72- 2 L7s in the box from Kicker. 1500rms/3000peak For the amp I'm thinking either two Kicker IX1000.1s or one Kicker ZX2500.1. What would be the best to go with there? I'll be using Kicker wire of course. Ordering the 09PKD1 kit. 20 feet of 1/0 gauge wire. The biggest kit I could find from them. My stock alternator is pushing out 190amps right now in my 07 Impala. I'm guessing that will need to change. Looked at a few from DC Power that my buddy showed me. The car couldn't handle 900 watts, I have a feeling 2500 is going to kill it. Battery in the trunk? Yay/nay? So any thoughts? Good idea or bad idea? Let me know. Haven't done a build this big yet.
  9. There are a few good installers out there. Haha Trying to get out of Best Buy personally. Would love to do more car-audio. Tired of getting called to go sell cameras.
  10. Yep. They are stock Nissan rims. I think they are an option though. He paid a little more to have them put on. The kit costs $39.99 and of course we had to order it. The model number is 99-7607b and it's a Metra part.
  11. Short build log/pictures of my buddies 370Z that we worked on. 2010 Nissan 370Z Sport 5% Side window tint w/front strip 25% Rear window tint Alpine INA-W900BT Head-Unit Pre-Fab box for 370Z (Ordered online) Sealed 2 JL Audio 12W3v3 Subwoofers 1 Farad Cap - Not really needed. More for show. Alpine PDX-M6 Mono Amplifier The starting point: Tint strip: Tint view: Another view: Fun began with taking out the stock radio. Which led to this: More fun stuff here! Nice long wires for the Z! New deck vs stock: Finished product! The box came in. We threw in some Kicker CompVRs for a visual. More box: The final sub product: The car is a head turner. Very fun ride to drive. "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up!"
  12. Hahaha. Never said it "is like haveing three baterys". I said it's like having 3 cells of a battery.
  13. Caps can help but you need more than one. Lets say you have 3- 1 farad caps. That's like having 3 cells of a battery. If you go with caps you need more than one. I'd just go with another battery myself though.
