  1. Truth is you have to show them respect so that they show you respect. If you dont want the laws to get stricter than they are you have to watch out and mellow it out. That just gives fuel to the fire of those people who dont want us haveing systems.

Agreed, I Bump my shit hard, but I will turn it down for some old people. i have only run across a couple of them that ever said anything.

when I was younger I used to do the samething though.

having a system that makes everything shake is fun, but not everyone likes it.

Like the bus driver sitting next to me at the light one day, Sitting in the van just WANGING and the Bus is next to me  people are just staring out the window like WTF, so  I notice the driver actually has her hands over her EARs  so I turned it Down LOL

  2. Sure you can  ;D  I dont know the brand  but I got mine for free, I wasnt gonna say anything Untill I picked it up. but :)

My pops bought a show car last yr and the guy who owned the car originally had purchased a complete setup for a 2000 Intrepid R/T well they could never get it to work properly on the car and the guy gave the complete set-up to my pops, Long story short I got a Airbag set-up that I can adapt tothe  Van WOOOT.

I will go pick it up this weekend and take pics

  3. I Tell you what Email Fi, They are just plain cool people, I emailed them and Nick got right back to me, we must have sent 10 emails back and forth no doubt in my mind these are cool people, I will put it this way, as soon as the west coast finale is Over and I can get enough cash Im ordering 2 of the BTL 18's with all the options neccisary to run them on 4kw each on music.

they say the can design each sub to meet what ever your needs are, they have warrenties on each sub no matter what its used for.

  4. WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!hell yea mang we be Rolllllin Now!!! and where just getting Started.NP my brotha from anotha, you know I gots nothing but love for ya.what makes it so cool, is that the forum members we have are either guys that are trying to learn something or guys willing to help the other guys learn something, to me , thats just plain cool.here's to another 10,000 unique hits and 1.5 million repeat hits.

  5. 1st question same 15's?

    2nd question same box?

3rd question was 750 the most the subs you were using could handle?

Also if your subs can handle twice the poer that meens you are moving them further in effect adding to the amount of mass movement which would equal an increase in cone area

Cone area is not just 10/12/15/18 etc it also needs to include movement

I tell ya what, after I get my my box put back together, I will do a test

    2 15's on 1 bd1501=??

then I will double the power

    2 15's on 2 bd1501's=??

same box, same subz nothing will change except ampilifier power.

Now, I maybee wrong but cone area has nothing to do with movement.

from what I remember from my learnings cone area is the measurement of the cone.

which is Circle Area Formula= π*r2 where r is the radius

if you want to get real technical

The volume of cylinder and disc is given by the conventional formula

    Vcyl = π * r² * h    (where r is the radius and h is height), and

    Vdisc = π * r² * h

Im not saying that there isnt some truth in that post.

but if were gonna post some info it might as well be as close to the truth as possible IMHO it is not, its all theories people can prove theories right and wrong all day.

  6. If you re-read it does say that.

Quote "1. Adding one sound to another sound of the same amplitude (volume) will gain you 3dB. "

It explains that not JUST adding cone are OR power will create gains. Basically you need both.

Also, I can't find it right now but, cone area is not just the size of the cone but how much it moves as well.

So. lets say I have 2 15's running on 750 watts each.

then I add 750 watts to each sub for a total of 1500 watts to each, I wont gain 3 db's ??

or I have 1500 watts going to 1 15  and I then add another 15 to make it 750 to each I wont gain 3db's?

I bet I gain in both examples.

I can actually prove it, for instance, my second build, 2 12's on a BXI1206D = 134.1 dbs

    2 15's on the same amp I did a 143.3 a 9 db gain  so your right I wont gain 3 dbs  ;D

I can actually show prof of these gains via my DbDrag stats if need be, also 2 15's on 1200 watts 143.3

    2 15's on 3kw 148.4 so  I just shot down there theory.

  7. it doesnt make sense, because what they say isnt true, ask any diehard spl guy.

your not allways gonna gain 3db's thats a given, but if you build the proper enclosure when you double up your cone area and give each speaker the right power your gonna gain 3db's or atleast be close to it.

test the theory youself and see if it's true or not, Im willing to bet money that you gain close to 3db's

and I believe he was asking the guy who first posted what he was looking for and what kinda budget he had.

  8. your not gonna gain 50hp from a chip.

My Mustang GT came with 265 hp Stock,  I did a tuner chip, C.A.I., Mass Air Flow Sensor, Throttle Body Plenum, Underdrive pulleys, Shorty headers, new x-pipe and and cat back exhaust 24# pound injectors and only had 330 RWHP afterwards, I never dynoed it to see what it was at the wheels before I did all the work. now, if he wanted to do a 75hp shot of Nitrous he could gaimn a nice chunk.
