that is what i am fearing. i need it later for tailgate.. if ever the headunit is broken ill just borrow one from my brother in law. good thing i bought the headunit from crutchfield and it has a warranty.

it might be some connection somewhre, im gonna triple check it. if it doesn't work im gonna try another headunit

how do you check the headunit fuse? or do i have to? because its working. just not turning on thee amps

i was giving a demo to my friends. so i turned the car on, revved it up. played it full tilt for about 10 seconds, paused it. then asked them what they think. then after that there is no sound coming from my speakers and subs. noticed the amps are not turning on. even when i restarted everything none of the amps are still turning on. checked the remote wire connections, it was all intact. btw, the headunit is turning on and fully working. the fans that is connected to my relay which is connected also connected to the remote turn on is not working. what do you think is the problem? i need help urgent. i have an alpine 9887 headunit

i haven't metered it yet. i want to though. it sucks because i think there isn't any place here in las vegas that has a term lab or something.

i would say from my own experience, with only 2.2k watts power the btl's won't be moving much. go for 3k watts, so i say get the aq3500d if you can.

thanks you sir! thats a lot of help. i will definitely adjust my gains using a dmm asap. the preout voltage on my hu is 4v. i got a stupid question, is it okay to clip it for a few seconds?

thanks for the reply. my alpines at +0 on subwoofer right now. i didn't use a dmm, i set my gains to max with no bass boost(i know i know). ok ill try what you said.

i've been playing with it and i noticed that i need to clip it(clip light goes on) just to get some good movement. it is loud though. it hurts my ears

hi everyone, just got my amps back from audiosavings(hifonics goliath xxv), i blew it the first time from some odd reason. so since then i upgraded all my grounds, triple checked everything. got it hooked up. annd now its playing good. but the problem is its getting very hot after playing for about 30 mins. is that normal? because my last amp was the kicker zx750.1 and it doesn't even get hot. just curious because its my first time having a high wattage amp. also it seems that my btls doesn't move that much compared to youtube videos. setup is on my sig. thanks!
