Most quality speakers are marine grade by their very nature. Just means that their fronts are water resistant for the most part. Most automotive speakers in doors will see more water (on the backs) than any boat speaker. Considering he won't be driving underwater, there is no real concern. The fronts will be fine, and the back won't really get wet

Dip actually holds up better than you would think to abuse I used to bedline cages, but it chips on rocks and such, and is hard to touch up Dip needs to be drug along something to start peeling, but is very easy to touch up if that happens

not gonna ride it like a jackass...my overly aggressive days (offroad) are over. At my age, getting hurt hurts WAY more then it used to and takes longer to recover from. I will prob upgrade it in the future because there is so much you can buy for it but i wouldn't put the word "violent" and "my kids" in the same sentence....cuz that aint happening. Even at my age, I don't WANT to wreck haha And violent isn't usually planned offroad, but it is good to be prepared for when it may happen. I have never wanted to flip offroad, but I have. Not sure how violent you will be with your kids in it, but those things don't take long distance rolls too exceptionally well. With your welding abilities, I highly recommend you remake the top cage with some thicker stuff to keep your noggin safe. They even have some great bracing on the front and rear to make a full exo, while still maintaining the bolt-on cage. Even the stock bolt-on tabs can be cut and reused. But this is Steve Meade designs, I don't need to tell you how to do things haha

Almost every forum and group I'm in has been flooded with the "other battery" argument recently and it's annoying. I never see people violently advertising xs power. They just run them and have great results. I have zero regrets with mine. They far exceed their call of duty every day. I don't get why everyone is trying to fight that battle for someone else when they don't even run them. I'm excited to see this build get finished up, and silence such heinous arguments to this build. Keep the updates flowing!

because it was an after thought and too late. To make the holes EXACTLY in the same spot as all the others, they pilot hole has to be done at the same exact time (drill through all layers) so it is fool proof. Honestly though bro, what does it really matter? I got it done. I just didn't know if there was a reason After I got my circle jig, I've never wanted to cut a circle with a jig saw again haha

I know it's a dgaf car, but I still wonder why you didn't use your jasper for that beauty "flush" baffle considering it's probably easier than a jig saw anyway

I know this rebuild is on hold, but... Will you actually be able to dyno the t15k? If the AD-1 has a wattage limit of 15k, what happens if it exceeds that? And as has been previously said, its hard to imagine forgetting about such a vehicle, but it's also hard to imagine having all the vehicles he does...
