I was wondering if anyone could find me a dual core processor that would fit the Asus P5GD1 motherboard. I did alot of searches on this motherboard and found that it likes to ask if you ment "P5GD1 Pro" or "P5GD1-VM" but it is just P5GD1... If someone could find a dual core processor that would fit on this motherboard it would really help me out...

My buddy that is letting me borrow the card said that it is out of warranty, so he cant send it back. Do you know what they did to fix it? upgrade the cooling or what?

They said that they were going to get more but I doubt it... I hope that they do cause that is the card I have wanted since day one, although if I cant get it I want another option

I was just want some advice on ati people since I am more nvidia and cant find a single 7950GT for AGP. I want this cause of the 512GDDR3 and looks like I might have to go with ati for that... anyways I would like to order this tonight so the more input the better, one thing I want to make sure gets answered; is this ATI's gaming line? I know with nivida if it is like GT or GTX it is gamine but if there is an S at the end it is more likely for video editing and rendering, I want to make sure this will play cod4 find, and maybe crysis on low...

Yes it is the same card. Factory overclocked. I am borrowing it from a friend and I am not sure how long he has had it, but I will bring it up to him and see if he wants to send it in. Thanks for the information

That is too bad cause I love this company, im starting to think twice. I am downloading the drivers that you said you are using on your computer, hopefully that does something... Even with the thing clocked down a bit it still messed up in graphical areas, I will keep you guys updated and thanks for the help!

I downloaded Riva Tuner and took down the factory overclocks, that seemed to have helped to a point, there are still some glitches but I might take it down a little more, 490MHz on the core clock and 710MHz on memory clock is what it is set at now

A buddy of mine is letting me borrow his PCIe 7900GT video card cause he got a 8800GT for Christmas and I put it in this computer and finally got a chance to install a game, which was Call of Duty 2 so nothing too hard on graphics but it looks like this: but not all the time, only when I get to areas with alot of details... I know that this card shouldnt be having problems with it, but what could it be, drivers or is the card just going out? it is eVGA brand, and I have never heard/had problems with them...

Well I realize they are the same socket, but I dont know if the motherboard BIOS will support it... anyone else have anything to say about this?

I love eVGA that is what my 6600GT was, im looking at buying the 8800GT

Can anyone tell me if a Quad Core will fit on this motherboard? I cant figure it out on the asus website, this motherboard was given to my from my cousin and I was seeing if I could upgrade it to quad core...

My motherboard is an Nvidia chipset, that shouldnt matter though should it? I ran that old ati card on it nicely... I got the display driver straight from ati webstie... if you are talking about the program that comes with it, that is not installed, the program that allows you to basically adjust the resolution of your desktop and do all the extra features that I am not interested in right now. I want to know why the hell it is turning pink... that doesnt make sense, usually it would just cut off part of the game's picture if the resolution wasnt set right, not turn the whole screen a different color...

I have it hooked up to my 50 inch DLP Samsung High Def tv... through a DVI to HDMI cord I got for christmas. As I stated before, it worked fine with the other card, and this is the same set up I beat the game with. Also I am running a 500 and some watt psu, the card requires 2 molex's to be pluged into the actual card itself and that is how I have it right now...

I just purchased this card, and I was hoping that it would be better then my ATI X800 videocard (256mb GDDR3) and the new videocard is 512 GDDR3... I tried to play call of duty 4 and it defaults the resolution at 800x600... Well that doesnt bother me too much except for the fact that when the game loads the whole screen has a shade of pink, so I upped the resolution to 1280x720 and the pink is gone but it lags horribly... Computer Specs AMD X2 3800+ Dual core overclocked at 2.35GHz 1 gig Corsair XMS Memory (512x2) Radeon HD 2600 video card 250 gig hdd with a 60 gig slave (IDE) What could the problem be?

I am not sure I know how to do that with his computer, and I dont want to fuck anything up. It shouldnt be doing this because they just sent it in like 2 months ago because something was wrong with the keyboard and I believe they had to reinstall windows, cause why they got it back I had to introduce it to the network again so that they could print from a different computer and shit like that...

My friend has and alienware laptop, and he said that when he goes to turn the thing on that there is a little flashing white line in the upper left hand corner of the screen and it doesnt load the operating system.. I have came across this problem before but I forgot how I fixed it. What does it mean?
