  1. I could very well be wrong but from what I've been reading about Bose systems is that they are designed for how they come from the factory. I don't think they are adjustable. There weren't RCA outs on the stock unit it's all wired the new wiring harness I think is a PAC harness and it has 2 sets of rcas. The rcas then convert back to speaker wire and go into the harness clip. So there were no rcas before but to make it work with an aftermarket head unit the wiring harness uses 2 sets of rcas. That's the only. Change so that's why I'm guessing it's now quieter because I have 2 sets split off one RCA out and the preouts of this unit are only 2 volt to begin with

  2. I don't think the stock Bose amps have a gain. It isn't due to that of course it has to do with the RCA signal. My pioneer app radio has 2 RCA outs and my Bose system needs both. I have one set going to my rcas that I will hook up my sub amp to. The other one is split with y splitters and goes to the other 2 sets. When you take an output signal and split it in 2 it's naturally going to cut the signal down. I do not think the Bose amplification system is adjustable I don't even know where they are located.

  3. Lookin for some suggestions. I'm thinkin of adding an eq. Reason being I bought the appradio2 because I really like the idea of it and it's actually a really good unit for me. All I use is iPod and pandora, it has nav and YouTube. There's others but that's what I use. I have the Bose system in my truck and the Appradio only has 2 sets of RCA outs, 1 for the sub amp and the other set needed to be split to run the factory Bose amps. I had to use y splitters. I was hoping having the new headunit would make the Bose speakers a little louder over the stock headunit but it's about the same maybe a little less because I had to split the rcas. Would it make it better to get a processor or eq that takes say one RCA in and can put out 3-4 at higher voltage. The Preouts on the Appradio are 2v then split in half. Would this solve the problem andif so any suggestions on which one I should get. I'd like to keep it under 200$ if possible

That's a link to a pic of the exact dash setup I have. Haven't attempted anything yet but does anyone know how the dash comes apart to install a new head unit? Do you just pry that silver part on each side off ? Cuz the black part is all connected all the way round the cluster up to the windshield it's all one piece

  5. I ran 2 2200s strapped for a little over a year then now I downsized a bit and I have been running one at .67 daily for a year no problems, the other 2200 has been in my girlfriends car for about 6 months at 4 ohms on a kenwood 12 still doing just fine.

  6. I ran an aq 1200 then bought a second to strap them, then switched setups again and bought an aq2200 then a second and strapped them never had problems with the amps only issue I ever had was the connection on the gain knob became bad on one cord or the knob itself but since I had 2 amps I switched it out and called aq and then sent me a new one anyway. Pretty minor the aq amps put out pretty good power and perform well especially for the prices. If you have proper wiring (size and grounds) it shouldn't overheat. But the only experience I have with kicker amps are2 friends of mine one had a 400.1 and one had a 750.1 both seemed to run on the warmer side but I can't vouch for wether or not my friends were clipping by just cranking the gains. The 400.1 lasted about 5 years the 750.1 about 2-3 then he sold it so I don't know where it went.

  7. I'd go with some chrome 20s my buddy used to have a black monte on chrome 20s and it def turned heads. Thing looked real good, I don't know about getting 22s on it. The 20s barly had any room and made the ride pretty hard even with really nice tires. 22s would probably ride like shit in my opinion. Just a guess though. 20s look real good on the newer body monte Carlos

  8. I read tons of good reviews and watched some YouTube videos but anyone know how bad the lag between selecting something on the screen and the action happening. Some people said its terrible some said slight lag. I expect a slight lag, he'll my iPhone and iPad have a slight lag from time to time
