Its supposed to be as many inches away from the back as the port is wide. This is what was choking my box off at first.
Edit: Could you move your batts and just slide your box away from the back hatch about 6-8 inches? Maybe make a little rack for your amp and batts so the amp could be up and down so it doesn't take up so much room.

are you saying that while your car is running, your battery is reading 12 volts?
if so, its not the battery, that is alternator.
but.....batteries are effected by the cold. my optimas normally read 13 volts in the summer but in the winter they read 12 (with car off)

Also I was realizing the opposite with my batts seems like they hold voltage better when its colder but hasnt really been lower than 20 or so yet.

2 15'' audioque sd's and an audioque 1200 amp will only cost around 500 bucks and you should be able to fit a big ass box in that trunk.

Ouch sorry to hear that man. My buddy was driving his girls car that they just paid off. He ended up hitting a deer, the shitty part was after they paid it off they dropped the full coverage and put PLPD on it.

If the battery voltage is 14.5 on each side of the fuse then there is pretty much no way that the fuse is blown. The batts in the back wouldn't show 14.5 volts if they weren't connected to the front charging off the alt. You can pretty much rule out a blown fuse.
