i have a 1975 caprice convertible heres my dimensions...

i saw in a thread on another forum that if you have a subwoofers in a convertible you will lose 85% of your sound with the top down..how true is that? and will it help if the subs is facing towards the cabin

How about a hifonics amp?
i had a xx-herc. on two L7 15's and it worked good...i sold it to a guy that put it on four cvr 12's and blowed all four of them lol...they newer live better than the older line? and are they over or under rated?

at rated ohm load they arent as powerful, all they are really good for are the crazy low ohm loads. But they have been proven to be pretty bad current hogs. Id have kept the fosgate myself.
if ran at .5 ohms will they still suck alot of current?

the main reason i sold it because i want to go with something that no one has heard of where i live because everybody have fosgate,kicker,or memphis mostly all the big name companies

i sold my t40001 today to my wifes brother and im looking at a new amp..well the IA 40.1 anyway.
1.How much does these things going for?
2.what kind of power plant will i need to run two of these monsters?
3.are they more powerful than the t40001?
4.How good are they for daily abuse?

i still hear everyone talking about the btl's are they still the top dog? is there anything that can compare to the btl in output wise with the corect power and enclosure

do kicker square subs still have a problem blowing? im just trying to make sure because im buying my subs off ebay. and if they blow can i send them to kicker to get a recone?

thats my first option everyone seems to hate kicker so i was looking for something thats coparable..

They dont come in 18"s so you cant use them for that option or even get them lol
oh i know that i was looking into the Btl 18's

2 18"s you cant use L7's or CVX's. I personally like the 6 12"s or 2 18"s. Im doing 4 18"s for my suburban when the time comes!
