  1. Storage isn't necessary. You can get a dash cam with internal storage that re-writes over the internal memory like every 20 minutes for like $50. You don't need to store uneventful video, just when something happens. If the gov't can give away $480 million, they can sure as hell give them all cameras.

I disagree that the police need that kind of equipment. There are scenarios that require that type of equipment, but that's what the several military branches are for.

    I don't know, it's all f'ed up.

  2. With technology where it's at there is no reason that all LEO's across the country don't have video recording for every interaction that occurs. Furthermore, less than lethal rubber bullets in all their guns will stop any assailant in there tracks without killing them. Instead of buying these things that I just mentioned they get assault rifles and god damn wheeled tanks? WTF?!!

  3. There is definitely no comparison- the rigid is better, but that rigid light is $1200. You said you could find the cheapo on ebay for $97. It's better, but is it $1100 better?

Yes, it's $1100 better. Night riding is dangerous. Safety is paramount.

I can't believe I just watched a 10 min light video. Damn you Steve Meade!

  4. I used to build battery packs for my r/c cars, and all the bars to link the cells in series are exposed. I threw a battery in my man bag, and went to get in my van. My keys crossed a couple terminals and suddenly smoke was rolling from my man bag. A key was glowing red, solder melted to the key ring and 5 of the 6 cells vented. This was 7.2 volts and a 30 amp capable battery. Low power but I darn near set myself on fire. Electricity is no joke.

  5. no VS threads

you do realize by saying no vs threads you're rentamodding? so you're breaking the rules too, besides this isn't a vs thread, it's not x brand against y brand, it's 2 sundown subs, he's asking which would suit his application better. To the OP, i'd run the SA-8v2 over the SD any day.

deleted for fear of the more warning points
