  1. Tony I've always wondered this and hoped you could explain it to me,

Why use aluminum cones and dust caps? Wont that make the cone and dust cap stay hot, not allowing the coils to cool down?Or does it work as a heat dissipation method?

Remember the HDC3s that had aluminum coils handled more power than the copper coils and could dissipate heat better.

A metal cup of coffee will become colder faster than a paper or styrofoam cup of coffee.

  2. My Lincoln has only half of a frame and my battery is in the back so I can't ground to the frame and I have it grounded to the part on top of your wheel with the 6. Or 7 bolts but I I want better grounds

Wait. Did you relocate your battery to the back or is it like that stock?

If it's like that stock....run your ground to the negative battery terminal since it's right there.

If you're asking how to upgrade the battery ground, then a solid piece of metal near it would probably suffice. Try a strut tower.

  3. Before you get set on mounting them, place them there without actually mounting them to see if it makes the sound that you want.

Sometimes they sound good, dsometimes not.

depends on the vehicle. Windshields sometimes help the sound. Lots of little things that could be factors.
