  1. Sounds good, expect to hear from me soon on the 270 amp alt. Thanks!

320 amp OEM housiing unit (150 amps by 700 rpm, full output by 1800 rpm) = $599

270 amp Large case conversion (165 amps by 700 rpm, full output by 1800 rpm) = $549

They are both good kits, and are both a direct bolt in. I generally reccomend the 270 amp kit if it is something that is going to be abused for long periods of time. Both are suitable for daily use, the 270 just makes a little less heat, and has a slightly bigger rectifier.

  2. I am looking for either a replacement alt or a conversion kit to allow me to run a large case alt in my car. There looks like plenty of room for a large case, I hope you make a kit. I want the most current I can get out of a single alternator. I have 4/0 wire to run from the alt to the batt as well as multiple 1/0 ground upgrades in most places. Can you give me some prices on both the stock case solutions as well as the large case solution if you offer that? Thanks!

  4. Hm..So r u going to finish it inside the truck or out? Always seemed harder to build a full wall outside of the truck..since the roof on the outside is like 2-3" lower than inside. Lookin good tho.

the whole wall can be built outside and slide in with ease. I have test fit the box without the front and it's fitting well.

  5. looks like a good start. moar pix

When there is more to take pics of you will have them LOL.

Expect some on Thursday...gotta drive 1/2 way to Houston tomorrow evening!

I just realized that you are from Houston and I am driving there to trade a PS3 for a Hertz component set just like you are running. You wouldn't happen to be krouchchocolate on CA.com? LOL

  6. For the meter, port on the drivers side is the best. But for just being loud, on top facing forward would be fine.

I had a feeling that port on the driver's side would be the best for SPL, I think I may put it there....either spot is the same amount of work, might as well make it meter well too! Thanks!

  7. I have designed a wall for my Chevy Colorado Extended cab truck and before cutting any wood, I want to finalize the port location. As it sits now I have the port all the way at the top of the wall firing forward. How does that work in extended cab trucks? My other options are to move the port all the way to the bottom or to make a port with less port area in the middle.

  8. Some of you may not know me, but for reference I built the box in the below thread for MRriley96SS while I was in Germany. I'm sure he can vouch for me :D

Up for sale is my collection of audio that I have accumulated over the past couple years. I previously tried posting this for sale, but due to the fact that I was overseas in Germany no one was willing to buy. Well, I am now back in the US. I am now located in Austin, TX. I am in the process of opening a car audio shop, so I am selling this equipment since I want to use equipment in my car that I sell (of course LOL). Shipping will be done from zip 78759. The

prices DO NOT include shipping. I am open to offers and trades for old school car audio since I plan to start collecting it in the near future. Please feel free to send me an e-mail at [email protected] or PM me via this site. Thanks!

    1) I have (4)four Polk Audio Momo series 8 inch subwoofers. These are SVC 4ohm and are in excellent condition both physically and mechanically. I bought them brand new from an authorized dealer. I am asking $45 for each sub plus shipping

    2) Next up is a pair of Phoenix Gold Ryval series 10 inch subs. I bought these brand new and never installed them. They are in new condition. I am asking $45 each plus shipping

    3) Next is a Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:4 amp. This is a 4-channel amp that is rated at 50 watts per channel at 4 ohms. I bought it brand new also and never used it. It is in new condition. I am asking $115 plus shipping

    DSC00400.jpg

    4) I am also selling a (DD) Digital Designs S4 amplifier. This amp is a 4-channel with staggered power meaning that two of the channels are rated at 100 watts per channel and the other two are rated at 200 watts per channel. This amp is great for running a component set actively crossed.

I bought this amp used from Soundpressure.com and it has a couple scratches on it, but it's in very good condition otherwise. It worked wonderfully driving my Dynaudio tweeters and the ID OEM mids I bought from Hessdawg on CA.com. I am asking $350 plus shipping for the amp

    5) Next is the powerhouse of my collection. This is a (DD) Digital Designs M3 mono subwoofer amplifier. This amp is rated at 600 watts @ 4 ohms, 1200 watts @ 2 ohms and 2400 watts @ 1 ohm. This amplifier is greatly underrated. It can be run at .5 ohms and it's very stable doing it. Power output can reach well over 3000 watts and can be done with stock electrical. I know of a person running this amp off of a single 4 gauge power wire and it works well. I bought this amp directly from DD and used it for less than a month. I am asking $650 plus shipping

    6) Also up for sale is a JL Audio ZR 525-CSi component set. This set is JL Audio's flagship 5.25" component set. This set was used in my wife's car running off an Arc Audio 4150 XXk for about five months. Cosmetically and Mechanically this set is in excellent condition. This set sounds great and has amazing bass output for a 5.25" component set. It really can outperform most

6.5" sets. I bought these brand new from the German JL Audio distributor while I was there. I am asking $325 plus shipping

    DSC00388.jpg

    DSC00389.jpg

    7) Lastly I am selling a JL Audio 12W3v3 12 inch subwoofer. This sub is SVC 2 ohm. I had a pair and my wife accidentally dropped a heavy tweeter on the cone of one and it cracked, so I was left with a single 2 ohm sub. This would be great to run off a mono amp at 2 ohms or buy another and run it at 1 ohm. I bought the sub brand new from the German JL Audio distributor while I was there. The sub is in great condition both mechanically and phyisically.

I am asking $90 plus shipping
