Wow. That's great news!
It's always a bitch to see your batteries get drained slowly especially for that long.
-
I'd take back the $60 dmm and get maybe a $10 one? Save a bit of cash and i'm sure it wouldn't be a big difference in readings.
Check the resistance at each fuse holder, check grounds, etc.
You have the rear batts neg connected to the one up front?
I agree, you don't need that much precision and accuracy for car audio voltage readings.
Cheaper DMM FTW!
However, I've always wanted a Fluke brand DMM just because all the Engineers use one

When do we pay and give them our shipping address?

Looks like I'm going to stay up to see the results!

Got my XS XP3000 with rest voltage of 12.7V, I did a full charge on it to 13.1V and it only dropped to 13.0V after 2 days of resting in the garage. Pretty solid battery these are.
As for the D2400, I'm still working on that one to get it to rest at a higher voltage.
-
Tempting.
What would the power rated be at 12.8V?
I'm not too confident with my current to be electrical of DC Power 270A + XS D2400 + XP3000 +(Maybe my old Yellow Top too)
-
The XS D2400 voltage is now at 12.7V
I've sent Nathan@XSPOWER a PM to figure this out.
-
Your battery shouldn't be dropping that fast though. $10 says (insert carrier here) did this to your batt
Yeah I think you're right. I checked the Voltage on my XS XP3000 that's been sitting in my office ever since I've received it and it read 12.7V (I think it was at 12.8V when I first got it, i'll have to check my old posts for the #'s).
I just went and checked my XS D2400 again and it read 12.8V
Edit: wow my XP3000 never dropped a single voltage. I got it at 12.7 and it's still at 12.7V.
I'm charging my XP3000 now @ 14V

I've also read this thread:
http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/34694-getting-that-resting-voltage-up/page__st__20
From what I see, I should charge the battery on float mode for a week so that the battery learns to stay rested at a higher voltage?
But someone above brought to my attention that the battery should not drop that fast.
What to do?

Can I see a pic

35 Minutes later I just went and checked it's at 12.9V
I will check again in another half hour. If it goes back down to 12.6V by tomorrow then I'm going to charge it back fully again and disconnect it from my car to see if there is something causing the drain.
-
It sounds to me like your charger is working as it should, I would contact XS about how to test the battery to see if it is good or if the carrier decided to play soccer with your package.
I just went out and unplugged the charger. I'll check the voltage again in 1 hour and see if it goes down to 12.6.

I also just got my ctek 7002 this week. I have not let it full charge my bank just had it on for maybe an hour to see where I was at, 3rd light. Im charging a d3400 and a stock under the hood and 2 xp3000 in back. Im a charge tomarrow but I dont gave a dmm to check where they rest or the charge rate. Are they expensive? Can a cheap one from wallmart? Im conserened now.
You can get a DMM for ~15.00
-
What charge state did you let it reach on the charger? The final stage?
It went to the final stage (there are 4 stages)
Thats weird I got the same charger and I charge two kinetiks at the same time over night and theyll rest around 13.0, how long have u had your batterries?
This is a Brand New battery that I got from Audio Savings. No more then a month old.
On the charger did it say it was fully charged?
After the 4th stage there's a thing that says "Supply" and below that another one that says "Recond"
Neither Supply or Recond is lit though.
Is the green dot suppose to go to "Supply" once it's charged or will it remain on the 4th stage with the picture of a full battery if it's charged?
It's been on the charger now for the past 3 hours and the green dot is on the 4th stage with a voltage of 13.5 with the charger connected.

Last night I put the Ctek 7002 charger on my XS D2400 in snow flake / agm mode and it charged at 14.5V, this morning I checked it with my DMM and it read 13.5V. I tooked it off the charger and 3 hrs later, went to recheck my battery and it only read 12.6V.
How come the battery is not fully charged? Isn't it suppose to be from 12.8-13.1 for a full charge (According to XS Power Site)? Did I not put it on the charger long enough?
I'll throw my charger on the XP3000 tomorrow to see if there is a defect with the charger itself

Big three for sure, email these companies and see if they can help you on a alt

I'd do atleast two big batts in the rear also, like the XS XP3000 or the XS D3100
Hmm. I have an old Yellow Top that I'm not using. I wonder if I can wire it in the trunk with my XP3000 and keep my D2400 under the hood.

I hope these come with a SecondSkin sticker because I forgot to get one for my B-Stock Damp Pro

This video creeped me out.

I've never seen 6 AWG cable before.

Just ordered over $100 worth of stuff.
That heat shrink is super fun. Sonic is a fan of melting things.
I think I should have gone for the 3/4" one for a better snug with my Knu Kollosus Flex 1/0 Wire, but we shall see when I get it in the mail in a couple of weeks. 100ft of 1/0 Knu Kollosus Flex ftw.
I still haven't hooked up that PPI P.900.4 yet until I see if my runs of 1/0 and an extra battery in trunk will help me with the voltage drops. Once I'm done testing out my electrical, I'll swap my eD NiNe.2 with the PPI P900.4
