DD-1+ has the added bonus of allowing you to adjust overlap more precisely than just the -5, -10, -15dB tones on the disc.

In regards to the CC-1, your subsonic is a HPF...

send an email to [email protected] and ask what price they can do for you.

Thanks! I'll send him an E-Mail to see if he can help my broke ass. I need to buy the CC-1 and DD-1+.

  2. I wasted 4 hours of my time trying to retune my entire system in the car to find out that my Velleman oscope is probably broken...

Why I think it's broken? My damn subs got less loud when it's suppose to be louder since I went from my original 0dB tune to a -2.5dB tune.

As a result, I'd like to buy a DD-1 or DD-1+??? Which one is better? I also need something to set my sub sonic filter... does the CC-1 do this or does that only set the LPF, HPF?

I missed the Black Friday deals and was wondering if I can still get those deals for being a loyal SMD forum member since April 22, 2007? ~_~.

Here's my attempt of setting the gains on my velleman oscope.. I can't even tell if it's clipping off... And why is the voltage reading so different compared to my Craftsman voltmeter? Which one is accurate??? I have my Singer Volt meter calibrated to my craftsman dmm reading...

  3. I have bought over 2 dozen XS Power batteries and each came in the 12 volt range and none had charging/resting voltage in their life.

    oh

Hmm. I don't buy that many batteries so I had high expectations of everything being perfect out of the box =_=

It was a good thing they double boxed the battery because the outside box looked beat up:

then inside was another box and a lot of foam:

  4. DC audio amps are worth the money cause they are tough almost moron proof, and they have great custom service.

4 way protection circuitry is the norm lol.. But I agree, their CS is on point.

Meh, I had a problem with my PPI P900.4 AMP that I bought from sonicelectronix where the fuses didn't blow when they were suppose to and I think it ended up frying up the circuit board internals. The weird thing was the amp just randomly died on me one day out of the blue and it was barely a year old. I had to RMA back to sonicelectronix and decided to just get store credit. I ended up replacing that PPI for a Rockford Fosgate T800-4AD.

I digressed. But yeah, I own a DC 5K for 3 years so far and it's still working fine. Same goes for that RF AMP I'm using.

My only complaints with my DC Audio products is the bass knob. The damn thing broke on me after 1 year and a replacement is too expensive.

Also, my 12" XLM2 sub's dust caps keep popping off and I have to re-glue it every year. DC Audio sent me new dust caps the first time it happened but now they say I've had the product too long to be covered under warranty. It would be nice if their warranty was more than 3 years.

    Brian,
Your subs are out of warranty. With the caps holding as long as they did, you best bet is to do the same thing as before with goop. I would use a healthy dose of it, it might not be pretty but it should hold.
