I use t3 in my Yukon and other builds. I use dd in most of my customers cars, and I just looking for another brand to give people around here another choice. But I always test subs in my own set up before I'm willing to recommend them to customers. Peope here are stuck on kicker and jl and they have to be shown that the other brands will pound and sound good doing it. my reason for the lvl3's is simple. That seems to be the most popular everyday level. So if they can Stand up to what I put them through, then I would feel confident putting them in others vehicles.

i have emailed rusty and i will try to call him in the morning. i'm going to order my subs tomorrow, i just dont know if i'm getting the dc's, dd's, or t3's. like i said i have plenty of experience with dd and t3. i would really like to give these dc's a shot because i have heard so much good about them.

yes i know how to multiply thank you for todays school lesson. Now maybe with out being a smartass you can look past what is advertised and answer a simple question. Fi is rated for a certain amount of power, yet they will handle more as long as it's clean, dd is the same, so is t3. all of which i have experience with. my yukon had 4 tss 15's rated at 1000rms. which is 4k, i had 7k on them for over a year. never so much as got them stinky. and pulled hella good numbers with them. Now i dont have any experience with dc, so i do not know if they are they same way. so do you have the experience to answer this simply question or are you just trying to be a math teacher

i only put map out there to show the op that boon was right and the dd equipment isn't cheap. and to the op good luck finding any dealer who will sell at map. I know i wouldnt. i know of only one dealer here my part of texas who will sell even close to that. and thats just because he does such a high volume of business that it works for him.

i have the latest dealer sheet put out by dd and the z2lv retails for $3699 with a map price of $1899. but they may be letting them go cheaper because of the whole no warranty deal

if i go with the dc's im thinking about doin 4 lvl3 tens. how much power can they truly take on a daily basis. can they take 4.5k between the four of them

ok so here goes. this isn't another which would be better thread. i'm asking only the people with experience of both subs. i've always ran dd and t3 subs, but im really interested in the dc subs. so anybody who has ran dd then dc, how do they compair? what is the sound difference? which ones in your opinions are better? im really impressed with all the feedback i see on these subs. so once again please no my cousins friends uncle had both and..............! lol. so if you have personal experience i would appreciate your feedback.

ok lets see here. dd has z2lv's, but the do not come with a warranty. now if you want to run a dual amp set get you 2 new m4's. they put out an underrated 4800@1ohm. the 9500's are rated at 1500rms, but as anybody who has ran dd, they like more. the 9500 and 3500 are right about equal when u put 1500rms on them. where the 9500's start to shine is when you put 2k or more on them. so with 2 m4's assuming you have the proper electrical to keep up, you would be looking at 2500rms per sub. hope that helps. also the retail price on a new m4 is $2100 with a map price of $1680

i was thinkin of a different program. i just dl it and i didnt have that one. i punched in my numbers and get exactly what you got. i will play around with this one. the only thing that sucks is i can only go 16h becuase any higher then that i'll be in a mod class. i'm trying to stay in a stock class with this build

i've tried his calc and i dont know if it's my computer or what, but i can never get it to work. it always gives me crazy low tuning like 10hz. and i tried a few box calculators and your right they are always different.

ok i said i wont be wasting wood, then i also said i'm always up for a better box design. which means i'm going to build the one you said. as for seeming like i dont want help, thats not it. i was just trying to figure out the reason for the difference in specs. and yes i'm running a g motor sub. i ordered two of them to run in my ranger on the 2 m3's. but someone wanted the ranger more then i did. i always try to look at every angle. like i said i havent messed with 18's. the box thats in there now does sound good, it just isn't good enough.

i'm a dd dealer myself and i've never had this much trouble with a box. on the dd site now it say 6cuft and 120 sqin. yet before it was smaller. the 9500 series are the only one's that are like that. and i wont be out any money if the box doesnt work, i have more then enough wood layin around. i'll build a box anytime, i enjoy it. i'm just confused on why there site says something in one spot and something different in another

see this is where im gettin thrown off. the 9518 says it calls for 6cuft with 120sqin. but everybody i've talked to said thats too much. also i dont have my yukon any more. so no barn doors. this box is in a 2000 2dr s10 blazer. i had no problems getting my yukon loud, but this blazer is a whole different story

the box is 38 wide by 16h and 29d. its sub up port to the driver side. the port is 14.5x9 which is 130sqin. its 28.75 long for a final tuning of 35hz. here is a sketch of how it looks.

hell i dont know. i've never messed with 18's. i always had the best luck with 12's and 15's. it's still a good number for a single sub in a non wall. but when i was building my yukon with the 4 15's and two m3's when i strapped the amps 148 is the best i ever got. i changed it to one m3 per 2 subs and did a 153.4. so i was running the same amps and same subs just one way was strapped the other way wasn't
