Hopefully it will be loud.
If not I quit.
-
Nowhere near enough time... I work full time and go to school full time also...
-
Oh, it is mine. Im just saying this isnt the actual build.
Ill start a new thread for that.
-
This isnt my build... Wont be started until after SBN, since there is no time to get it ready for SBN, no point in rushing it.
Ill make a build log when it starts.
-
Look what Im picking up tomorrow....

Yeah, what max dimensions?
-
Actually its not going to be loud since Im not going to build it...
-
Im not doing 16 12s... Im going wayy bigger.
And the design is:
1.25c sealed chamber
1cf ported chamber
25sqin of port
16.75" long
Just multiply that for the amount of subs.
So in this case it was:
20 cubes sealed
16cubes ported
400 sq in of port
16.75" long
-
Probably not... If I can get Jethro to do a design and it wouldnt be too much of a pain in the ass I would. That would be sick.
-
Heres a design I did... Took about an hour to finish and draw up. Its a little off from what It wanted to be, and Sketchup was giving me some problems, but it was just for fun. So check it out. Its pretty damn big, at almot 54 cubes external.
Never really designed a bandpass before, but got a formula from a friend last night and it sounded great so I went from 2 12s to 16 12s. The credit for the formula goes to Jethro Eason. He said that it should work well for just about any 12" sub you can find.
Anyways, heres the pics.

It looks huge for the price. Anyone have any experience? Not too worried about flexibility, just need a good conductor.

Well it was built by Frankie Rio...
He knows his BTLs...
-
-
Heres a Blazer Frankie Rio built. 4 Fi BTL 15s on 4 Clarion DPX11500s... Yep, only 4 1500rms amps. Thing is pretty dang loud.

One thing I can say is he does have a problem with showing respect to people. He used to get into it with Pipo and Miguel all the time.
-
Pretty much same ideas as those guys, except no subwoofers out back.
-
drivingwreckless is my buddy Dave. He's actually a pretty cool guy. He is just a little weary of believing high numbers because he does SPL and knows how hard high numbers are to hit, and knows how loud high numbers really are.
Its just a big misunderstanding.
-
Took like an hour and a half probably. But I was bored and looking for something to pass the time, so it worked out.
And not sure if it would.... I dont even know if that would fit in the van. I just picked dimensions off the top of my head. It was just for fun.
-
Nope, never been there...
The highs are facing the rear. Its so I can open up and tell everyone what time it is.
And btw, Ill be driving a Chevy Express Cargo as soon as my Expedition sells.
-
Yeah, it has a TON of mids/highs... I know, just bored lol. 12 SAZ-1500Ds, 20 Kinetik HC2400s, 4 Eminence Alpha 12s, and 16 Eminence Alpha 6s. Would be really loud if I did it.
-
2 Fi SSD 15s, a Clarion DPX11500. Do a nice sealed box, about 6 cubic feet.
-
The amprack would be facing the rear. So you open the back doors and you see amps and a ton of speakers.
I think Ill open up my enclosure design and add an amprack to the back of that, along with batteries.
