  1. Every year at SBN I end up with so many damn shirts I end up using them as rags. They should tell you to bring an extra suitcase.
  2. Glad you liked my setup. Let me know when youre ready to build a whole new system. Im sure I can give you some good ideas.
  3. Ive done quite a few designs. I can do one for real cheap, PM me if you want.
  4. Bassboxing is offered, but not like this. Not anyone can compete at the Bandshell, it is only offered here at the Bandshell at night for the 2 loudest in each class. Its a head to head for the title.
  5. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=272-125 Those Pyle tweeters are actually pretty badass. Or use these 2" exit Radian compression drivers. Your ears will bleed. 14.6lbs each. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=294-708
  6. Pyramid and Pyle actually make some high quality pro audio stuff. I wouldnt be surprised if those took 250rms.
  7. Just down the street behind this walkway with shops/restaurants/etc. Its called the bandshell. There is A1A which is the main North/South strip, then this is behind the hotels right on the beach. Theres also a big car show out there. Also, every year DJ Billy E comes out and spins for the Bassboxing. It couldnt be any better. 160+ Bassboxers Bikini contest DJ Billy E performing live All on Daytona beach What else could you ask for?
  8. Id pick you up at Orlando, but my van will be full. :censored: Anyway, Tommy McKinney won that year. If Im remembering correctly, both cars bassboxed over a 160. 160+ is so sick in that format. The AVERAGE over 1 minute was over 160dbs. Now thats just so badass its not even funny.
  9. Ill be there Friday. Not 100% sure, but I heard my van might be in the AA booth. As I said, Im not sure. Only thing that would stop me would be that my van is totally stock on the outside. We will have to wait and see.
  10. The competition is the 14th and 15th of March. The Ocean Center will be open from the 13th to the 15th... Its always open that Friday before the weekend as well. Its totally worth it to come down. Awesome time!
  11. Of course. Ill have my amps seeing 18v, all my mids/highs, etc. Mids and highs should consist of: 16 10" Eminence Alphas 16 Selenium ST350s 4 Sundown SAX 100.4Ds 2 Sundown SAX 100.2s The 100.4s will be bridged, giving 160rms to each 10. The 100.2s will have each channel at 2 ohms, giving 50rms to each tweeter. It will be 3,300+rms of mids/highs.
  12. 1 minute straight of music with any combo of doors and windows open. Then at SBN there is a crowd participation. Thats why there are people standing on the roofs and everyone going crazy. You gotta get the crowd pumped up and make them cheer. Sometimes people go and throw dollar bills out into the crowd, get bikini models to start dancing, etc. Just anything to get the crowd to go crazy.
  13. I cant wait for SBN this year. IMO the best part is the Bassboxing at the Bandshell. Its so awesome with all the people going crazy and 2 cars blasting music at 160+ with their doors open. So much fun to watch. Heres some videos I found of the Bassboxing. Will give the people who have never seen what SBN looks like an idea of the crazyness that goes on there. When Tommy and Eric are playing their systems out there, you can literally feel the ground shaking. It truly is a basshead's paradise. http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9574 http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9611 http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9614 http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9619 http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9622 http://gallery.springbreaknationals.com/ma...?g2_itemId=9625
  14. Awesome. Will be crazy. Ill take 24 Nightshade 15s and 6 more SAZ-3000Ds. You know my adress. Kthx.
  15. Awesome seller if you didnt know that already.
  16. If your port is say 25" wide by 7" tall in a CRX box, put it like 5" from the rear hatch and you can tune it a bit higher and it will still play the low notes that it would with a lower tuning if it were farther from the hatch, since being so close to the hatch helps it load.. Id just run 6 15" LVL2s and do a regular CRX box.
  17. Of course they wont be as loud sealed as they will ported, but if you seal them up, they will be VERY punchy. I can definately hear that mine has a small sealed chamber in the bandpass when I play punchy stuff. Whether its a punchy note at 20hz or 80hz, its definately very defined.
  18. The Powerbass subs are great. 12 12s sealed or ported would be killer. A guy around here had a Suburban with 12 low end PB 12s in a sealed clamshell all the way back, and it was awesome. Wasnt crazy loud, but pretty sure it was still busting a 150 on music and would play anything. Thats the way to go for a loud daily driver.
