You own a forklift? - That has to be the greatest amp I've ever seen, Maybe run a couple sets of components off of it, pair of 8's........ :^

No worries - you'll see the pics in the members rides section when we get started/all the parts show - Can't Wait

Well, now I have to post my props for Dominick Iraggi. I caught him closing up, and he still took the time to BS a little, and figure out what I needed. He said to go with the 260 amputator with a second redtop because it'll be better at low rpms/daily driver style. It gets 8 miles a gallon and dosn't go over 3500 RPM's anyways, so good call on his part. It's nice to talk to somebody who dosn't try to sell off the most expensive thing he has all the time - So, good call david, and thanks to everybody. Unless there are problems, the next new post from me should be showing off the rebuild......... :^ <-- that's what I'll be doing when it's done --- late, Pat

That easy huh? 280 amp, or go for the 300?

Crap, almost forgot the money thing. I'm thinking on spending 3-400 on wiring and battery or cap, more if I need the new alternator, but hopefully If I need the alternator, the xtra battery might not be needed, or the cap won't be needed, whatever.....late, Pat

Alright, now that the amp and subs are on the way, it's time for you guys to help with the Electrical. I figured that since everybody helped me out with picking the right amp(s) (check the amp choices post under the amplifier forum), we may as well keep the ball rolling with this. You guys have kept me thinking about different setups this whole time, and it seems like it's boiling down to the best sh** so far. Here is the breakdown at the moment: For sure I have 2 Kicker S15L7 Dual 4 ohms, and one RF T20001BD (birth sheet says something crazy like 2811 RMS at 1 ohm). Then comes 2 sets of polk components for the front, and 1 set kenwood components for the back doors (1995 suburban) These will have a 100x4 RMS front and a kenwood PS150 for the back...........
So, is it going to be a Iraggi H.O alternator, 2nd red top, alumapro 5 farad C.A.P, wind or hampster powered generator, or what? I've been set on a new alternator and cap w 0 gauge to the sub amp (right now the cheesy ebay 200a alt and 1f cap suck bad, only running 1200rms), but as always, I'm totally open to any suggestions. Like I said - the only things in stone right now are the subs and 3 amps. If things keep going this way, this'll be a stevemeadedesigns.com forum built Suburban of face pounding craziness, at least I hope so. Late.............Pat

Sweet, RF it is Thanks for the info. Decided!! Finally :-* :-[

Crazy - Well, I just got one more Idea - How about just one Fosgate T20001BD for both the subs. I can pick one up for about 600 with shipping. But one other question, will it still be best to stick with the dual 4 ohm 15L7's, switch to the 2 ohm, or what?

Well, I'm not so much into the Hifonics, I think it's down to the alpines at the moment, they have the power for what I need..... I have no records right now except for some 45's and jimmy buffet LP's from mom and dad.... But I think I'll just go ahead and get with Steve and cook up something worthwile................Jimmy Buffet is still O.K. though, Thanks, Pat

Who broke my mom's radio? The last time I went home, we had to listen to cd's in a portable DVD player on the floor.... Hope she gets the new one soon, She is really excited.

Just a quick question for everybody. I'm most likely picking up a pair of 15" Dual 4 ohm L7's next week for the Suburban. Right now I narrowed it to three choices for a pair of amps to push them. Kicker zx1000.1's for $370 ea, Alpine MRD-M1005's for $319 ea, or a pair of refurb Kenwood KAC-9102D for 199 ea. Running 2ohm, the Kicker and alpine do 1000w each, and the Kenwood does 850. I'm leaning towards the Alpine, but totally open to any suggestions for speakers or amps, or any used if you have them for sale. I'm trying to stay in the 600's for a pair of amps, but hey, you never know... Thanks
Well, Time for the next step
