    I noticed no one mentioned the fact that if you change subs that box may not be any good. What is the mounting depth on the box? Wasn't it built to the specs of the G2's you currently have? and since you are buying four subs and have about $400 to spend why not look at getting 2 really nice 10's or 12's that do around 600-750w rms and building a ported box to specs. I think you would really like the sound better than where you are now. That's just my $.02 but if you are dead set on 4 10's look at the MBQuarts or PPI Art class nice budget subs or the Sundown e10 even though I am sure the sundowns and skars sound better ported. With a $400 dollar budget for subs I would really look into getting something worth it and putting more time into build a better quality box. I would venture to say a pair of DC level 3 10's or 12's could be had for a little over $400. I think you would be happier in the long run if you just took the time and got a pair of quality subs.

    Yup - or just address the fact that the box you have is probably junk. You can just spend a little $$ on MDF and make a new box that wont sound like crap.

    One can assume gain needs to be up because it is a stock hu with prolly like 1v out or something lol. Also the subs are wanting more power.

    Voltage stays above 13.5 at idle.

    Ummmm - - Your stock head unit has pre-outs?

    If not, you are probably using a line-out converter for your input to the amp, that won't be 1v....\

    Unless it is a very good LOC, it can really really really really contribute to distortion and clipping which = protect mode.

    I wouldn't assume that gain needs to be up, I would make sure that it is set properly. good thing you are getting that taken care of.

    Well, it dosn't have a volume knob and looks like only 2 sets of preouts, and no rear view input.....

    Alright, I need a good flip out for the sausage, I love my simple 9886 but I have to get some backup cam/video action in there.

    What it needs:

    Volume KNOB - no buttons for volume

    3 sets of preouts - 4v would be cool

    Alpine, Pioneer, even a nice kenwood....maybe..

    rear view cam input.

    not to suck - only good stuff for the ol sausage!

    Does not need :

    Nav

    Bluetooth

    - - - I have plenty of gear to trade and would prefer to trade but cash is on the table as well. I have some kicker 2500's, many coax and comp speakers, quite a few head units, pretty much a little of everything.

    Let me know!

    EDIT - I may have not been too clear in this post.... I need a nice clean deck that isn't junk. The sausage is a pimpin SQ doomsday machine that has top of the top of the line gold plated platinum gear in it and needs the best source unit ever made.....but better.

    ....I may have over-exagerated but the sausage has some great gear in it and needs a new head unit with backup input, volume KNOB and ipod controls. Bluetooth isn't discouraged but it isn't needed really.

    I've been trying to sell this thing locally for a year now but no one wants to buy a subwoofer that needs a re-cone so I'll post it here. I'm in college don't have the money to re-cone it and am in need other things. I'm in need of two sets of 5.25 speakers or component sets and possibly a new head unit. Would also entertain other trades or even cash ,but I have no idea what something like this would be worth so if interested just shoot me an offer through PM. Pics were taken by a cell phone so they're not the greatest quality, mods let me know if I need a clearer picture with the paper in it and I'll try to find a camera.
