well that sounds good to hear. so that 12.2 you have, how did it sound and what amp were you running to it ? i have the room to do 2 15's but it will be very tight was thinking of running the 12's
I took it on a trade, still brand new never powered. I am curious to see what it could do.
All the new HCCA stuff that I have heard has been in half-ass installs, so I really can't tell the full potential.

how is the orion hcca line of subs and amps? the other day went to a local audio shop and saw the 15" orion hcca .. wow what a woofer . just want to know if it is worth investing in .
I have A HCCA 12.2 on my workbench - man, it is a monster. I have no beef with orion, or the product they built. Seems very solid.

I'm in the service and have been to the new war, but I would like to thank the real veterans - - our folks, uncles, grandparents, cousins, all those soldiers who have been there before us.
THANKS!!
That's all I can say.

How long you here for pstone? What unit?
Here till 2014 - I'm in the USAF CV-22 unit over at New River. I had no Idea you were out here too - we need to hook up.
-
Yeah - happy birthday to all you guys (belated). I'm stationed with 10's of thousands of Marines out here at New River/Lejune.
Very proud and dedicated bunch to say the least.

just out of curiosity why does eveyone like the open ended ones over the closed end ones? i use the closed end ones and just get it hot and fill it about half way up with solder and shove the wire in. its a little easier that way imo. not knocking anyones personal styles though, just wondering
The open end ones are better for me because when you just shove a wire into a hot pool of solder, it really dosn't get into the wire strands all the way and could result in a cold solder joint. With the open terminals I can ensure the wire is hot and the connector is the same temperatue which bonds the two metals together.

I found this place, didn't request a quote yet though.
Looks like they are a custom mega-bulk order place... I need the type that isn't closed off either.

I had a couple hundred ring terminals from darvex, but I guess they are all gone now.
Where is the best place to get them these days? I would love to buy them without the black/red plastic sleeves.
Anybody have a hookup?

I need a single 3/0 gauge lug to shorten my power wire. Anybody got one? Copper, aluminum, I don't care.
I have a bunch of 3/0 and 4/0 lugs, can send you a couple.

I use it at work on my phone. Helps pass the time when I'm not teaching.

very funny.. had to watch it twice

Just currious anybody know what will happen if you have a mono block amp with 4 speaker terminals and your sub is wired at 2ohms off the back of your enclosure and instead of running one positive and negative to one of the sets of terminals you run two sets of positive and negative and use all 4 terminals. Will the amp see a 1ohm load 4ohm load or will it be unchanged and stay at 2ohms
It remains unchanged - the terminals are joined internally.
-
Did you try a regular slot port as opposed to the square port with only 1 shared side?
It will give a bit more room to mount the sub and free up a hair more airspace.
Much simpler build too.

OK, so name and date isn't supposed to be typed in on the computer... write it on a piece of paper and take a pic of that with the product. This is so we know that the item in the picture is the same one that you posess.
Thanks.

Man, you all missed out on a pretty clean EQ...

Sorry
No sale here.

feel free to make an offer on anything listed, see if we can work something out.
Well, you posted this mostly right..... you have to put up an asking price on everything though. Post that up or this will get locked. Thanks!

When it comes to wire, I like the Kicker Hyperflex if I can find it for a good price. The RF and the Knu are both the same quality as the kicker.... Just personal preference I guess.
I have ran all three types - I did 50 ft of fosgate in my Nissan.. 100ft of kicker in the suburban... 150 ft of kicker + some knu in the sausage.... Mostly Knu in my most recent builds - they have great shipping, customer service, and wire....
I guess I might be leaning towards the Knukonceptz side now.... Bottom line is that they are all very good wires.
win win for you...
