  1. I dont think there is anything wrong with the AVBM, I just think it is not compatible with my car/alternator setup, which is upsetting because that is what I was told to buy. And I'd rather not spend even more money to ship back and forth for no reason. I just want my alternators to work properly, even if that means tossing the AVBM out of the equation.
  2. The following is the emails I exchanged with brian@mechman after a phone conversation and he asked for pictures of my setup and he would call me back. Is the alternator controller connected to the vehicle harness or are the alternator stand alone ? I read somewhere on a forum that the avbm isn't meant to control more than one alternator because its still only going off the cars field which only has enough output for one alternator. Does this sound correct? I plan on adding a 3rd alternator. What can i do to make them run properly? Brian Mar 19 (4 days ago) to me Not true. I have a client in NC with the AVBM2 on 5 alternators. Also depending on the alternators used and if the AVBM is installed correctly or not. 3. I bought 2 320a mechman alts from a mechman dealer about 7 months ago and when i hooked them up the dealer called mechman for me and they recommended I get the dual AVBMii, so that is what I did. It only worked with one alt plugged in at a time. The alts would make a straining noise when the second one was plugged in and voltage would drop to 13v. I contacted mechman and exchanged a few messages with Brian from mechman and he stopped answering me before we figured out a solution to my problem. Two months later i contacted him again and he responded but never answered my questions and when I asked "What can I do to get my alternators running properly?," he never responded. Mechman's customer service is horrible, along with their AVBMii. I would never spend another dime with that company again.
